Hiring Mike Yeo as coach was a puzzler at the time, but the Wild's resurgence more than validates it.

The future is looking very, very bright for the Wild. Not only are they a pretty good team this year, there prospect pool is one of the best in the NHL. Go to any publication/news media TSN,Hockey News, etc and they are all enamored with the Wild prospects. Granlund looks to be a future superstar, Phillips is tearing up the Q, he has more points than Jonathan Huberdeau, his teamate and 3rd overall pick by the Panthers last year, Coyle could be a power forward who can score, something the Wild have never really had, Zucker could be PMB's eventual replacement, Larrson, a good two way Swede, heard lots of comparisons to Johan Franzen with him, Bulmer has torn up the WHL since getting reassigned, lots to look forward to. When Granlund comes up, he will likely be the most entertaining shootout player in the NHL. Go watch some of his shootout videos on YouTube its insane.

I see it was time for Mr.Souhan to tap Russo on the shoulder and ask for directions to the X. Maybe it was the snow we got today. Please just stay away. Go write another article on how the Twins will win 93 games next year. How can someone have opinion on a team they pay no attention to?

I agree with floridascott. Also the wilds best defenseman last year was #46. Burns was brutal overall (probably had 7 highlight goals in his whole career).

And we got Granlund acomin' next year too. Oh, and not to mention 9 million dollars in cap space in the offseason that could buy just... i said just about anyone in the league. (Parise?) (Suter?) I CAN ONCE AGAIN SAY I'M PROUD TO BE A MINNESOTA HOCKEY FAN!!!

If you had ever seen Yeo play you would understand why he is a good coach. Like some of the great baseball managers, LaRussa for one, Yeo a career minor leaguer took away lessons from his many coaches and is applying it to his coaching.

When you have young or new players you get the opportunity influence how they play and mentally approach the game, and when the team succeeds it builds confidence in whats being done. For the most part, the youngsters and newbys have been playing far above expectations, and now if Mikko can build on last nights performance it could inspire some of the other vetrans. That could result in an amazing season. Go Wild

Is it my imagination or is Jim Souhan trying to make a conscious effort to find positives in our sporting world? Whatever it is he is a talented writer and more enjoyable to read when he doesn't whine about everything.

Yeo for president! It's been such an ugly couple of years for all of the other MN pro teams and Gophers (nothing but excuses), so thank god for Yeo and the Wild! It's early but it's great so far. Keep at it Wild!!!!
