The city of Foley, under a proposed agreement, would continue using deputies instead of hiring a security service.

This plan is republican "every man for himself" run amok, would the robbers go hit someone who couldn't afford to pay for security?

Is crime so rampant in a town of 2600 that they need 24/7 patrols? Rent-a-cops with guns wouldn't make me feel safer.

Never hire a private firm to do policing. A hired gun will not serve the citizens, it will serve the employer.
