Keep 'em coming. As long as there is a stadium issue, the Vikings can emply addvertising companies and lobbyists
Why doesn't Ziggy Wilf pay a visit to his friendly banker? I am sure he has enough assets to provide collateral to obtain a mortgage loan for this stadium that he wants. Just bring in a business plan showing economic feasibility and a good return-on-investment for this project and I am sure he will get the loan. Has anyone seen the books for his business(s) or his recent federal tax returns, personal or business related? I haven't heard him pleading that he is destitute and needs help. No public funding for this greedy beggar billionaire, please.
Minneapolis makes the most sense. If Wilf doesn't like it, sell the team to the state for the same price he paid.
When the facts of the matter fail to persuade your audience, revert to good old fashioned hard core propaganda.
they just never give up do they? The ironic thing is the more they push, the more people tire of them.
Instead of a 100% "pro me" ad campaign, why doesn't Wilf put that money towards a down payment for the new stadium that he wants? He can afford a new stadium, the state of Minnesota cannot afford to subsidize him. Remember, we still have an unresolved $5+ billion budget deficit, we still have to repay a "loan" the state took from the education fund, and, last I looked, the economy wasn't any better. Put the stadium issue to a statewide referendum and let the majority determine what happens.
LOL now they're running commercials for it? As a lifelong Packer fan, this is some pretty decent entertainment in lieu of the sucky fall tv line up.
The money that the Vikings are wasting running the propaganda ads would be better spent 1. Funneling it into building the stadium with the use of only 100% private funds, 2. Moving the Vikings elsewhere, or 3. Renovating the Metrodome.
Go Packers! Can't wait for the Vikings to lose tonight's game and the battle for a stadium. Perhaps if the Vikings followed the Packer's model of community ownership of the team there'd be a lot less controversy around a new stadium. Oh, too bad the NFL won't allow that. Well, good riddance then.
