Target Field announces first concert: Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw

Target Field announced Monday that it will host its first-ever concert -- and there's a pretty strong baseball connection to one of the performers.

Wait, I thought the big argument for a new Viking's stadium was so we could have these large concerts? You know, the theory being that without a new football stadium we couldn't have large acts like U2 and Chesney/McGraw?

why not have the concert on a sunny Sunday afternoon, instead of at night? Of course we dont kow if it will be sunny, but if it rains, it wont be nice in the evening either.

I too thought we needed the "People's" Stadium for such events and the Vikings were just the lucky recipients of having a place to play eight real games out of possible 365 days annually.

Well, that's great for the Pohlad's as they get 90% OF ALL REVENUE from things like this. True. Our politicians sure gave them a sweet deal! Don't let them get away with it again!

To bad some ticket company will buy up all the tickets and then mark them up so high you wont want to pay for them....
