No trophies yet, but nice job of pounding a very mediocre sue team.

If this continues, we'll soon be hearing how the Gophers have an "unfair" and "built-in" advantage. A raspy-voiced local columnist/talk show host might say "they should win it every year" and "they are the yankees of college hockey." Oh, maybe he won't be so critical now that the broadcasts are on his station.

It would have been a shame had the Gophers lost this game they completelt dominated the Sioux.

What a happy ending of the Sioux/Gopher tradition for the gophs, and a very sad one for ND. Looking forward to Jan 13 & 14 at the REA.

Great game by both teams tonight. UND had their chances but couldn't put them past Patterson. I'm sure Goldy was happy that he could dust off his broom... and not the dust accumulated from use. I can't wait for the games in January at the Ralph.. ps. The TV announcers pretty much summed up the series with this comment after Rau's goal "The Gopher fans are celebrating like they just won the national championship".. HAHA!!!!

I know right! How dare those kids celebrate winning, what's wrong with them! Up here in crappy ND we just shake hands and leave the ice! Especially when it's a come from behind win against a good team! Kids these days!

This team really plays with a lot of heart, and guys seem to know their roles... Chemistry, this is the first team in years to have it.

dotty.. your comment about the Sioux being mediocre is funny, especially considering how the Gophers haven't even been mediocre the past 3 years.

North Dakota made the right adjustments, but the Gophers got some good bounces and kept believing. Great series and I'm looking forward to the rematch at REA. Go Gophers!

Yeesh in that 3rd period I was worried the stats and winner wouldn't match up. The shot and scoring chance comparisons were ridiculous. Glad the Gophs won, but the UND goalie put on a show.
