That's great, but I don't think it is really feasible to do it in the winter in some areas with unplowed sidewalks and/or icy walks...

nordeaster: yes, my thoughts exactly when reading that it can be done year round. December 2010, I fell 7 times on the shoveled walks caked with snow and ice - due to homeowners annual negligence - and fall #8 landed me in the ER with a fractured humerus and six month of PT, with continuing radial nerve dysfunction to date. I left Minnesota in August, preferring to live where I can walk every day of the year of dry pavement, or at least without snow and ice.
