Why not write in the voice of a 13 year old boy? I have yet to read a book written by a male that successfully captures a female voice. I really wish male writers would work harder to explore male voices.

In college, Survivor and Choke were some of my favorite books. Lullaby was great, but after that all his books became bland and boring and recycled. It took me three attempts to get thru Diary, two months to read Haunted, never was able to finish Rant, and Pygmy gave me a headache. I did get thru Tell-all quite fast, but that was marginal at best. Snuff is the only one I haven't even tried to read. Please Chuck, return to your old form, your old voice. You lost a big fan long ago but I'm always hoping for the best. Let's hope Inferno ranks right up there, but unfortunately I'm waiting for it in paperback
