Very Well Said! This should have been taken care of long ago. Leave it to Minnesota to the very last second to try and figure it out. Waiting until the dome lease has expired to me says they dont give a darn! Meanwhile they build a Twins stadium and the Twins leave their commitment to the dome EARLY, while the Vikings (our #1 sports team) stands by waiting. The Vikings have been patient and also did everything Mr Dayton asked them to do. If this state cant get it done for them, then they dont deserve to have a team!! And even though I am a fan of 42 years I would understand completely if Mr Wilf took his precious team to LA or elsewhere. It makes me embarrassed to be a Minnesotan because we dont take care of our NFL team, when so many other cities would do anything to get one!

Thanks Jim for writing on the interview with Harvey. The Vikings represent a huge gold nugget for the State and its people. Hopefully wise people will step forward and take the action necessary. Keep up the great work and your efforts will be rewarded.

Great article Jim. Politicians get off your lazy butts and get this done before it is too late!

Amen.. other than Los Angeles and Las Vegas.. name a big city that is relevant and doesn't have professional football. Oh, and check back with Houston on how much it cost them to let the Oilers leave, replace them with the Texans who still haven't reached the playoffs..

No way Mackay. "Lakers, or North Stars, or Colts, or Browns." All four of these teams are were not as strong of a business, in there day, as the Vikings are today. The NFL is too smart to move The Vikings.

Oh yah, right. Sports pundits are so good at economics, thanks for setting us straight on this guys. The state will collapse if we don't pony up our half a billion so guys like you have something to waste your time on. You guys who make your living from a game will be quite hurt by the loss of the Vikings. The rest of us can get by just fine without feeding our money into the NFL machine to make rich real estate barons even richer. Maybe men will be free to find something purposeful to do.

robotczar - read your comment. Now read it again. Now read everyone else's. See a difference? I can. It's called logic and reason. If the majority was like you, we'd all still be cavemen.

Why doesn't the NFL just loan Wilf the money to build it and he can pay them back with the profits?
