Thank God, the Twins have the sense NOT to make Aterberry the lead guy. Tim Morland recreated. Ryan LeFebvre is EXCELLENT. He'll bring intelligence, knowledge and a nice pace to the game back to the Twin Cities. Similar to Ted Robinson and I like him even a little better. Nothing against Ted.

Lefebver would be a very good choice, having already worked for the Twins plus having a great Gopher career. The only knock on him is his daddy played on the 1965 Los Angeles Dodgers who defeated the Twins in seven games in the '65 World Series which I still hold a grudge about.

Please hire Ryan LeFebvre1 Not Chris Atteberry. Nothing personal, but when I listen to the Twins, I don't want to feel like I'm shopping for a used car. John Gordon made me feel as if I were a friend, or a member of his family. I want that "atmosphere" with his successor. LeFebvre is a natural fit for the Twins. He was a Gopher, and started his broadcasting roots with our Twins. I hope the Twins present LeFebvre with "an offer he can't refuse", and bring him on board. Despite our poor 2011 season, we're all about winning here in Minnesota. Especially with our Twins! I have to add that Ted Robinson had me laughing in stiches several times last summer. He did a very good job! When he even has Jack Morris laughing on mic-you know it was funny! I hope they bring Robinson back for some games next summer. Go Twins!

I will miss John Gordon, but I was happy to see Ryan as a candidate for the Twins job. I remember his solid work while doing Twins baseball, and have enjoyed his contributions with the Royals for many years as I'm a KC resident. He is a class act and KC will miss him greatly.

Lefebvre would be fine; although I was hoping the Twins would open the piggy bank and land Ted Robinson - that would have been the absolute best. Please, no Chris Ateberry - he has an annoying voice. His post-game shows are terrible, almost unlistenable.

Ryan Lefebvre would be an outstanding choice for Gordon's replacement. Atterbury is horrible. Even stat geeks find his postgame statistical analysis annoying. He'll say stuff like: "the Twins have now gotten 10 hits in 12 of the last 19 games, and they have gone 6-6 in those 12 games." Atterbury can't separate relevant stats from irrelevant stats.

Replacing Gordon - who spoke too much about his golf game, didn't give the score (or who was leading) often enough, and who wasn't always sure about a home run or an out - won't be hard. Dan Gladden does better play-by-play. Chris Ateberry also did a better job describing the action and situation, and although he doesn't have the classic radio voice, he was certainly better than he's getting credit for here. In a market with Paul Allen doing broadcasts, the bar is pretty low at the moment.

I would love to have that job!

He would be a great choice. That Ateberry is in the running is depressing. What are they thinking? John Gorden was a nice guy, but Ryan will be an upgrade for quality. He will not make as many errors, he'll report in real time, and he'll tell us the score every now and then.
