Anaheim's big three scored a goal apiece, and the ageless Teemu Selanne had three assists in the victory.

Its hard to get season ticket buyers back after you lose them, which is the reason why you might want to have a focus on stopping Perry and Getzlaf in your game plan, oh how I miss Lemaire reckon. Perry and Getlaf would be tied up in knots with Lemaire at the helm...... Selanne 41 years old 2 points not bad, who needs those old guy veterans

Was at the game. Defense by far is to blame for this loss. Both Zids and Schultz look worse than ever right now. Even Scandy and Spurgy are playing better than those two. Schultz is nothing without a better d-man playing with him and Zids is just, well, nothing.

D-men weren't looking great, but I think you can lay a big chunk of the blame on Backstrom. 0.812 SV % is not the kind of goaltending that gives a rebuilding team a chance at winning. Every single goal the Ducks got were on wide open nets. D-men could have saved it, but someone with his salary should not be counting on that. I think it's time to give Harding another start.

bhernew speaking of old guy veterans do you think Owen Nolan would put up numbers on this team or how about Mister Mike Modano or even Mister Mats Sundin ????? Mister Fletchner and Uncle Leo are guilty of old people discrimination just sayin. Copyright © 2011 technowild™ ☺

Officials hold off Wild, by calling 2 suspicious penalties late in the game. (Suspicious by the timing and weakness of both calls, seemingly intended to keep Minnesota from rallying.) How many times in Minnesota pro hockey & football games have we seen this happen (officials penalizing MN late in games, seemingly to prevent wins / ties?) Am I the only one smelling something rotten here?

djfester, even if your ridiculous conspiracy theory holds true the Wild still gave up a game by not scoring and playing terrible defense. This team looks like it's thinking about everything it's doing instead of knowing it's system and reacting. No one except PMB and Seto has the ability to punch through the blue line with skating and stick handling. Koivu can't do it. And our PP is horrid. I mean terrible. I don't care if we scored twice tonight. It looks as bad as this team is playing.

The only reason we are even close to 6-8th place teams is because we have lost 3 OT games. Without those points we are in 14th. Not that standings matter at the moment...you can't win a cup in the fall, but you can lose it. (though the Wild will not get to the playoffs anyways.)
