Winfield: Calling injury a strain is a stretch

Though he wasn't specific about his neck, the Vikings cornerback says the injury is more serious than a strain.

Carolina has the worst run D in the league. The Vikings happen to have the best running back in the league. AD, let's get that ankle healthy and run amok!

Look for more Viking players to follow the same pattern as the Twins. With their record, why risk an injury that might end a career. Necks are good in football. Oblique's work in baseball. I suggest "undefined muscle spasm". Winfield is looking to play next year.

Honestly, I was dreading the GB game because of our handicapped defense, but other than Rogers playing flawless... they did surprisingly well (excluding that final drive) With QB Newton and WR Smith being the only real offense for Carolina, I got a good feeling them purple people can maintain this one and let the offense find its much needed rhythm. Should be a fun away game!
