Darn politicians don't have a clue of how to create jobs. Here's a basic primer. One, cut business taxes. Two, whack workers' comp rates to be at least equal and hopefully lower than surrounding states. Three, cut the red tape and environmental lock ups for mineral development. Four, do a line by line analysis of the entire state budget--if there aren't millions to cut there, I'll eat my hat. Finally, don't raise taxes on income, sales, or for stadiums. That's just a one minute litany. I'm sure we can come up with several more if we had a day or two.

"Dayton economic summit aims for job growth" Well I sure wouldn't want it to focus on mosquito control! What kind of headline is that? We are in a surreal world that the MSM and DNC are partners in trying to dumb us down. Get to the meat and potatoes (just seeing if people are paying attention) and tell us what the plans are and who proposed them.

Talk about a waste of time. I'm guessing Marx Dayton will come up with raising taxes as a way to create jobs. I think that's his go to solution for everything.

Maybe Mark could stop having his ex-wife with the Rockefeller connection contributing to his campaign and between her and the Dayton clan a few million could be spent in the state.

I thought we elected Dayton because he knew what he was doing. After a year, he's going around saying, "Now what?".

Can someone please explain how public relations firm owner Kathy Tunheim fits into this picture? Is she volunteering or pushing the interests of her clients? This is shameful. This nondisclosure of what's really going on, here.

Oh wait. Forgot to add that public relations firms don't have to disclose their client interests. The shame remains, however. Ms. Tunheim is being paid by clients to do this stuff. It's all under the public disclosure table.

Here's a plan to create one high-paying job. Let's fire Dayton for ineptitude and create an opening in the Governor's office.

Dayton is looking to create more jobs, the republicans want tax cuts for the wealthy business owners-sounds about right.

If Dayton and Rockefeller don't know how to create wealth and jobs we're in trouble. But Republicans need to do better than consuming the environment and tax breaks, too. IMHO, the key remains the burst real estate bubble. During this recession all our plastic houses have rapidly deteriorated. We more quality, not more quantity, to survive rising energy costs.
