Great idea! set up a 500 foot tower in an urban area. It would certainly not be good to put it in a windy area.
Will there be a webcam to count the birds getting sliced to death? No?
How about grants to private enterprise? It's a proven fact that the waste is one third that of universities. Oh that's right....keep it in the family. We better kick some a$$ next November.
Last time I checked this is a pretty Rural area of Dakota county....A quick drive down county road 42 will confirm that...
Reaearch the wind? When it's windy, the turbine turns. When it's not windy, it doesn't. Where do you go from there?
Yup, anything that saves energy and reduces pollution is a bad thing according to the right. It is only good if it makes money.
7.9 millioin? I see enough private windmills where I think they could have rented one for a lot less for their "Reearch". Besides what is left to "research"? Let private industry do that.
Why put it out there in the middle of nowhere? Why not put it at the state capitol in St. Paul and get closer to the winds's source - all the politicians and the governor!!
Wind energy is a joke perpetrated by soft-headed politicians and utility companies wanting to appear "green."
Way to go with the negative comments. What do you have against research? Where would our society be without it?
