Nice display of the north mentality Mister Heatley but like Babe the Big Blue Ox you need to show us how helpful you can be because every team needs a ox that helps just sayin. Copyright © 2011 technowild

Once again the "Captain" was invisible. Also, with his assist on the Broadziak goal Brett Bulmer is tied with the "Captain" each with 3 assists and ZERO goals.

Outshot badly again. Heatley thus far has been a terrible addition, but not as bad as the Leddy trade for Barker.

Good, they lost again. A typical Minnesota sports team......except for the Lynx.

First things first; we did hose points out of this road trip. If we somehow make the playoffs it will be because of the flawed point system in the NHL. But a point is a point, and I'll take er anyway. Now, on to my frustration. I'm usually very positive for the first month of the NHL, knowing teams are figuring out systems and lines. But my patience with the Wild is growing thin. #1 on my list is our beloved Mikko Koivu. Great two way player. Sometimes shows brilliance attacking. Gets a LOT of cash. Koivu has been playing as good as a third liner so far. He slows down every time he gets the puck and does not have that attack the net attitude. He HAS to be better, or Cullen needs to be promoted. Next, the boys have to start skating better. This leads me to point out our neutral zone problems; our one-two pass that should lead to us in possession with the puck in the opponents end is horrible in every way. The passing is sloppy, and a few players (KOIVU) slows down and starts going east-west, instead of attacking north like so many good fast teams do. That's why I like Cullen on that top line, he can blaze with Seto. Next, our blue line looks decent defensively, which is a surprise, much better with Zanon out. But we have no offensive presence from our D-men, not even Zid. There were some good things again in this game, 3rd and 4th lines were excellent, Bulmer looked great, and Heatley had 3 SOG, he is in the top 10 in the NHL with shots. the goals WILL come, he has just had a few unlucky bounces and puck placement.
