Nebraska never was out of step as it dominated the Gophers -- again -- in the teams' first clash as conference rivals.

Hey, the kept it within 30. Moral Victory. As an aside, that rule re backwards pass is a bit goofy. Tofumble forward and get a first down.....

This has to be the WORSE start ever. Kill can blame the culture and the players, but it is certainly obvious the coaches deserve much of the blame. I doubt Brewster would have done any worse. I am not sold on Kill and he has 2 more years to prove me wrong.

If Wisconsin can get a good coach and recruit players, why cant Minnesota? wouldnt you rather live in Mpls with alot of things going to the city then in Wisconsin? What is in Wisconsin?

Coach Kill is rebuilding without the B S that Brewster had. His past success speaks for itself. Patience is what we need for a couple years and then we will once again be proud of our gophers.

41-14. Oh well, if not a moral victory, at least a palindrome.

We may have a pretty stadium but.

Sorry, but I thought our guys did play better. We had guys who made many good Big Ten plays. We had several defensive series that held them to zero points, we out scored them in the second half. Unlike the last two games I thought some of our guys made plays that strongly suggested that they are improving and can play at this level. Again, I apologize, but I saw some real progress out there today against a fairly good team. I now will not be surprised if we win a game or two this year. That is what I saw today. Shame on you if you did not enjoy that goal line stand we had when they got zero points after their first down on the three. Ski U mah!

And shame on you Phil for slipping into condescending negativism over a game that was not any worse than what the final score indicated. After all, how many times have we played since 1970? Cheap shot. One of several.

Did anyone in the administation ever stop to think that for a tiny fraction of what the half empty stadium cost they could have hired a real athletic director and a proven coach?

How is getting your but handed to you 41-14 a moral victory? It seems that the definition of a moral victory is a bit cocked. To gain a moral victory, you at least have to be competitive. This team is not even competitive against NIC teams, or former NIC teams (North Dakota St.). This team would more than likely struggle in the MIAC. And the best college football coach in the state still resides in Duluth. Go Bulldogs!
