Does this represent Favre's entire career or only as many games into his career as Rodgers has played? That is, if Rodgers has played 60 games, or whatever, are these Favre's numbers from his first 60 starts? I don't think so, but that would be a more interesting comparison.

The only stat that has any real meaning is the last one. It would be a fair and meaningful comparison if it were done as of the end of both players careers. This one may be skewed by the fact that Green Bay has been on a roll as of late. That will not continue forever, or the Vikings will be moved geographically.

it will be interesting if this doopy kid can continue this stretch of success for 15 more yrs. I highly doubt it, let's watch. The biggest issue is a concussion from a big hit by Balt, Pitt, New England or 49er linebackers.

i wonder what people would prefer, a storied career like fran tarkenton's without a superbowl win or....3 wonderful years with aaron rodgers, 1 superbowl win and another on the way?

It is "indexed" for era through their "advanced passing" stats which compares a QB's stat to the three year average of all QB's of the year before, year of, and year after that QB's stat was generated. Joe Montana #1, Rodgers/Favre/P Manning tied at #2 for the best QB rating-adjusted for era. Rodgers has this year to complete to bring the starts up to Favre's number, but the quality is there. They are essentially equal during their "fat years".
