Adrian Peterson didn't like anything he saw during the Vikings' 39-10 meltdown in Chicago last Sunday.

peterson was really taking a shot at mcnabb when he said defenses put 10 men in a box because they dont respect the passing..i think with ponder and his accuracy and quick release hell see less men in the box

Lets be honest Donnovan was essentially TJack this year as far as defenses were concern. And fans need to realize. NFL defenses aren't going to allow AD to beat their team alone. If they have to they will put as many as possible in the box. McNabb sure didn't take any out of the box.

Very much a sidebar to this story, but if Jamarca Sanford can't play and Tyrell Johnson has to start--which is not desirable but not the worst thing in the world...Jamarca plays better and has more potential to improve but neither are great--I'd be excited if Mistral Raymond were active as a result and got some playing time. He definitely has some talent and, if we're lucky, could be a fixture in the secondary down the road.

Please do not let board hands Terell Johnson start. We are all ready to relise as fans this is a rebuilding year. Does Leslie think we are all stupid when we are 1-5 and play the Packer in 2 of the next 3 games. If you do not look at the young guys this year so you know what you have and when they start next year and are not the annswer o well 1 more year wasted. Get fusco and Love and Burton and sherels andd Gudion and Emerson Griffen started now to see what they have. How many times does Griffin have to get beat before you relize he has lost a step with the 2 knee operations. Quit thinking were stupid and get the young guys in there now. If they do good great and you know what you have. If they do poor then you n=know what to draft for and who to cut It is a win win !!!!!

O ya and if I hear McNabb say he has a lot of football left in him I wish he would add bad football left in him. He has been benched by 3 teams. it is over. Look what Ponder did in 1 quarter with out getting reps or AP or Harvin and still had 99 yards about what McNabb averaged per game. Can not wait to see Ponder and I do believe with his smarts, accuracy and spped and running he will be a great QB for the Vikings for the next 10 years !!!!

Until Ponder earns the respect of the teams he facing, Peterson will continue the see the box over loaded with extra defenders. Teams don't feel threaten at all by the Viking passing and good reason, we haven't had one thus far Between McNabb throwing the ball into the ground and receivers dropping passes the few time that they are actually catch-able. The O-line needs to step up their play, they are a major part of why we are 1-5 with very little pass protection and no running lanes being provided this group without a doubt is the weakest link on the team by far an away!

Funny just last week the strib was telling us how well the offensive line was doing. McNabb isn't Tavaris, Tavaris can physically perform but, at this point in McNabb's career he can't.

Bilbo...I agree with your suggestion of getting the young guys out there. Especially on the offensive line. Just play them. But you should know the roster before commenting. Everson Griffin and Latroy Guion are two members of the defensive line. Latroy started the year out in Kevin WIlliams spot. Griffin has played all over the field. Both play about as much as they deserve at this point in time.

I don't care who starts on this undermanned squad Green Bay will torch them like a fire ball. This OL stinks and needs to be totally re-built starting with the center. Plus as I've said, the receiver position has been deprived for several seasons and management can't figure this out. If Favre couldn't make these dogs move, there is an obvious talent deficiency. Green bay is a model of efficiency and if I were an inferior team, I'd start assembling the same style of team and of course, bring in some real coaches as well.
