His All-Star Classic is among steps he's taken to prove that "I'm a really nice guy." He also figures basketball fans might like some, well, basketball.

Ya Mike... bring that basketball back to MN where we dont have any right now. just the Lynx dominating in the playoffs, sweeping for the title, and championship parades. I would rather watch our girls play then a few NBA role players scrimmaging in a highschool gym. BUT thats just me

Nice story. Glad to see Beasley stepping up and taking all these positive steps. Now that the Lynx season is over I am sure ready for some Wolves basketball! Not sure if I can make it out to the game but I'm glad that Beasley and the guys are doing this.

Much new respect for Beasley. It shows he cares about his team and us fans. Disappointed Kevin Love could not be here for the team and its fans.

All I need is one look at KB's tatoos and 'sneer' and tell you what - I wouldn't pay one nickel to see him play if he was across the street from my house. "go Lynx"

One of beasley's biggest problems on the court is his lack of focus, so i believe it's in his best interest to put the pipe down during the regular season.

So hoopman4, you must not watch any basketball at all... because more than half the league has tattoos! I'm sure you wouldn't have a friend with a dreaded tattoo either. The year the Wolves are finally going to show improvement and we're not going to be able to watch any b-ball!

Mr. Beasley needs to do a lot more to repair his image. His offseason consisted of a drug arrest and being on ESPN sportcenter for acting thug-like at an outdoor, street-ball type game. I hope he means it this time and follows through with his committment. Only time will tell.

I don't care if Mike wants to be a "nice guy", or not. I just want him to put as much effort into defense as he does offense.

Based on these commitments I could say that MN has some of the most self-righteous, judgemental, unforgiving, disrespectful fans. But I know that is not true I know there are great people in MN. I know some kind-hearted, loving, and forgiving people who support MN sports. No one is perfect. I am sure if all of our faults were exposed people wouldn't think to highly of us. You should be concerned if he didn't care and wasn't trying. Unless you have always been perfect and have never made any mistake stop dwelling on his, and be glad he is trying to improve.

He was 240lbs last season? He looks a buck-ninety at best. Good luck Beaz - stay healthy and keep on practicing!
