Dany Heatley tied the game with 1.2 seconds left in the third period, and the Oilers couldn't beat Niklas Backstrom in a shootout.

Congrats to Heatley, they boo him whenever he plays in Canada, but he scored the tie breaker with less than a second left. It was tough for the Wild on the road, but they did it.

That last second goal was a nice surprise. Well played game by both teams. The wild played better but still had a few lapses (turnovers).

Good to see the Wild play 3+ periods. Yes there were mistakes but there were no LULLS in energy or play. Actually a solid game by both teams. We had a good amount of SOG, and Heater looked great, as did that second line. Tough game at Van on Saturday, let's hope the boys come out flying. We NEED our PP to SCORE. It's the easier way to win games.

I love how Canadians boo Heatley now yet they were going crazy for him when he helped them win a Gold medal in the Olympics.

Seems like it's time to bring Prosser up. Zanon is beatthe up andto will neefthat time toto recover. This will give the Wild a good look at him during regular season tempo.

Sugarcoat it any way you want, it was a sloppy, frustrating, boring game that was saved by a LUCKY goal. No skill involved. Seriously. It only took 59.59 for the Wild to score last night despite the number of opps they had. Not impressed with the so-called top line either. Much more impressed with the way the second and third liners are playing. When they hit the ice, it becomes fun to watch. Cullen or Clutterbuck should be wearing the C and A. Why Kouivu?

They played hard for three periods. That's one period more than they did last year. Good to see a lucky one go in when they were robbed on a handful of great chances during the game. Backstrom looked sharp as well. Edmonton is a team they need to beat, and they managed to get 2 points out of it. We had a couple of D looking a bit shaky last night. Probably time to give a couple of them a night off and give another guy a chance.

@rosieposie- If Heatley had snubbed the Wild the way he did Ottawa and Edmonton, fans here would be all over him as well. Guaranteed.
