I'm not worried about it. The goals will come.

Yeo's system brings pressure in waves until someone gets a goal. Maybe the first line's role is to soften up the defense so the second/third lines can score. They're on pace for 98 points this season - if they do that without the first line scoring, I won't complain.

Bring back Norm Green

It seems like the Wild franchise just has a lack of goals culture no matter who they aquire. Most teams have 2 solid goal scoring lines at least. We have 1. Not enough to establish and maintain momentum in the opponents zone. The coach was right on the way he described how the Wild played against Detroit.

Phingrove: It's a little early to make that judgement, especially since the second line has more points than than first. The PP has been terrible and our D (other than Spurgeon)is forcing the forwards to get too deep in clearing our end. Hopefully they get the PP going and improve on transition and the goals will be there.

While thinking about the 1st 5 games for the Wild, I thought about the #1 line's lack of scoring. If we could have had a couple more goals from them, this team could be in much better shape. Maybe they have 8 pts instead of 6. Then, I thought, well, if it weren't for the production of the 2nd line, we'd be in very bad shape. I am not too concerned as there still seems to be some 'system-learning' going on. Once we get this system rolling, we will be tough to beat. And, it was Detroit we just lost to. Nothing to be embarrassed about and we got a point when we were outclassed. Again, this team will battle for a playoff spot and if they make it, gravy. Next year is still the year to look forward to.

Playing three-fourths of the game in the defensive end has a tendency to limit scoring chances. And it's tough to break out of your own zone when you have a group of AHL-caliber defensemen trying to make the transition to the NHL.

Maybe next year(?)! I don't know, I'm gonna watch this year. This is the team, they're doing okay, really as far as points they are above my expectations. I'm curious this year about coach Yeo and so far I like him plenty.

I'll reserve judgement.... I'm liking what I'm seeing. I'm hoping they will jell... That being said, score some dang goals...
