Essentially, this season is all about change and our point guard. Hollins will be thrown into the Big Ten grinder as a freshman. Lots of new faces around the court and lots of questions about the returning players' consistency and improvement. Tubby has his work cut out for him.

Yes Tubby has his work cut out for him. But I LOVE Gopher basketball and can't wait to see how the season unfolds.

Yes, Tubby has his work cut out for him but he also has the luxury of another bottom feeder in Nebraska to tack on 2 more wins.

Oh come on! Were you there last night? I was. This is an very athletic club, wiith lots going for it. Hollins looks really self-possessed. Arizona and other teams have won NCAAs with freshman point guards. They come out of high school more developed these days because they have spent years in intnesive development programs, and rememmber, small men are usually ready for prime time sooner than big men. Speaking of our big men, we're looking stronger this year. The Iverson-Sampson combo was toxic. Ralph looks relaxed finally. Mbakwe looks like he's full of confidence, a definite team leader. These guys play with joy. I'm seeing some really good things in this team.

philgorngie.... I do believe you want the record for the most "thumbs down" votes. It's not just on the Gophers page either. Mission accomplished. You must be a treat to be around.

Glad to hear tubby likes his team this year. I like hollins and Coleman as new additions to the team. They could be a great surprise team in the big ten confirm. No one we be better on the glass then TMbakwe. Mayb Ralph will surprise us and dominate this year. I predict the team will finish with a winning record and make the NCAA field.

Athletic, athletic, athletic. That's all that can ever be said about Chubby Smythe's recruits. Rodney is very athletic, yet has contributed nothing in two years, and will not this year, because he has no basketball skills. Ditto for others like Sampson. Jumping over pigs and chickens will be this team's biggest accomplishment.
