There are benefits to the Wild switching divisions, but NHL politics will probably prevent it from happening.

Here's a suggestion... move Nashville to the SE. San Jose to the NW. St.Louis to the Pacific (rename SW). Winterpeg and Minnesota to Central.

First of all, if we're gonna move to a different division there is at least one chang the "Wild" need to make... the "Wild" have the worst name, colors and uniforms in the league... Blackhawks... Classic... Red Wings...Classic.... Blues... good (old blues uni's rocked!), Nashville... Could be classic... I hate the colors, the cheesy "feathered hair" rock and roll they play at the X and the Wild Management, who up until now, seemingly milked the novelty of a new NHL team for 10 YEARS!!! MN fans should be ashamed, they had a great coach who satisfied the passive agressive Minnesota fans! We need a new name, new colors and a new attitude. I went to games at the Ol' Met Stadium and those fans rocked... Straight from the bar to the stadium... SECORD SUCKS!!!

This has to happen for the future on the nhl and hockey in Minnesota. we have to move to central division and the name has to be changed back to north stars. This is the only way this team will survive here and make it fun again with the proper rivals. Sometimes its ok to relive the past and keep fighting leipold and slap bettman if you have to..Bettman has ruined so many cities he should be in jail.

A simple solution to this dilemma is to look inside the first few pages of the telephone book and note the time zones that are shown. The league would simple divide its divisions (henceforth to be called 'zones') like that with the eastern time zone teams in the eastern zone, the central time zone teams in the central zone, the mountain time zone teams in the mountain zone, and the pacific time zone teams in the pacific zone. It's really not that hard just sayin. Copyright © 2011 technowild

Move the Wild to Houston. Keep the Timberwolves. They rule,.

same for the t-wolves. Personally, I would watch more games in both sports if game times were reasonable. The way it is now makes it difficult to be anything other than a casual observer.

@technowild, yeah, it really is that hard. 19 of the 30 NHL teams are within the Eastern time zone. Doesn't even leave enough teams left for a second non-Eastern division...

Sadly, I have no confidence that Leo will be able to successfully navigate the shark infested waters of the NHL's BOG. That and Napoleon will never let anything great happen for MN.
