We'd be 5-0 with either Ponder or Webb playing in all those games. The first half leads in every single one of those losses were achieved IN SPITE OF MCNABB, not because of McNabb. These were followed by McNabb's utter collapse in the 2nd half of every single one of those games ................ collapses that would NOT have happened with Webb or Ponder in there.

Better to have unhappiness in your fan base than indifference. It shows the fans still care. This state has been jerked around in the sports scene since 1991. What kind of attitude do you expect.

Who knows what the Vikings record would be if McNabb had been benched already, but the thing is we would at least know if those other two options were viable. We brought in McNabb to win games, he is a veteran and is expected to lead our team to victories. Since he hasn't done this, I would rather lose the rest of the games and give a younger guy a chance than to put a veteran in there and lose and next season not know anything about Christian Ponder or Joe Webb. Give a young guy a chance to improve the rest of the season and learn the speed of the NFL, if they don't improve and learn the way the team wants, find a different option next year.

The reason for the booing at half-time is because the Vikings were obviously no longer trying to win the game, but instead, trying not to lose it. We have seen plenty of that already this year and it's not working.

Minnesota fans are tired of mediocrity and the same old song and dance. The Vikings always pick up has been quarterbacks that maybe last a year or two. The NFL is now a must pass league so how about we frickin' start developing or draft a QB that is going to step up and be a leader for this franchise. Frankly I'm sick and tired of hearing McNabb's excuses. Swallow your pride and own up to your mistakes. I don't know how many balls I've seen behind the receivers, overthrown, or in the dirt. Give me a break. As far as the Gophers are concerned....well we don't need to say much cause they just flat out stink worse than any Gophers team I've ever seen. Maturi has to go and the GM's for both the Twins and T'Wolves have got to GO. Chuck Fletcher seems to be about the only GM in town that owns up to his teams poor performances and actually does something about it. LIKE BLOWING THE TEAM UP. What a sigh of relief Fletcher has been.

Patrick the rage is obvious, but your selling it short. Your missing the other common thread that runs through every other example you listed: Stupidity. Obviously we are all fans and we have a right to cheer, gripe and cry as much as we want. With the state of our sports scene I think we all could use a good cry right about now. Anything more like throwing objects, hurting people, and booing a win is just plain stupid. Do yourself a favor and go outside, go for a walk, do something productive and make yourself happy. Trust me it's better to do this than embarrass yourselves and our State with hunyuck behavior.

At one time MN sports teams were good and exciting. Now they're all around bad, and it the coaching is dull, boring, and predictable. The fans were probably worrying about another lead get blown away by conservative playcalling. Can we get some creativity please?
