A strong final 40 minutes couldn't fix the damage done by a first period of sleepwalking.

A tough loss. More importantly, the Wild appear to be competitive.

At least they did not fold over and they fought hard. Unlike the Twinkies. Power play could be better but I have seen teams like the Bruins go 0-7 before. Hockey anything can happen

@eibud.. the days of being content with just being "competitive" should be long gone. Especially against the likes of the NYI. This should have been a 4-point road trip.

Oh well. At least we got that first loss out of the way. Like they say, it's a marathon, not a sprint.

They need to do better with a man advantage. Chances were there but they did not close the deal.

Losses happen in the NHL - even the worst team wins 30 games in a season. What matters is how they respond next game. It was also good to see some fire after a rotten first period (hopefully a sign of guts and coaching).
