The Wild's Mike Yeo let no scrap of hockey know-how and wisdom go to waste, using every bit of experience to realize his goal of coaching in the NHL.

I really do think this guy is legit. I doubted it at first, mostly because of his age and lack of HC experience, but he appears to be the right guy. I hope he's here for a long time.

I hear what Yeo is saying and I would be surprised if he does not turn out to be a head coach long term in the NHL reckon. I still feel that the direction of the team and the type of team it wants to be should be guided by the General management/owner, you can't just say here is a guy that coaches hockey and were handing him the keys with a pat on the back. The direction needs to start at the top " Were going to be so good at attack the defense will take care if itself" Were going to be exciting to watch and give the fans an exciting brand of hockey not like would you had to endure with DR & Lemaire reckon" First they hire Richards who I don't think is much like Yeo at all, he sounds more like Lemaire as he is even got the sparkly dome going........ Its not Yeos job to give the franchise its identity on the ice. I think the Wild fans deserve better than what they have been given since the ownership change

I have a good gut feeling about Coach Yeo. I think he is the man and I think Chuck did a great job by hiring him. I believe we are headed in the right direction and it wont be long before we are in the thick of things, where we belong! I love the fact that Yeo wants the team to stick up for each other. It wont suprise me at all if we make the playoffs this year. After this year, we will be a playoff team for years to come. Bring the cup to Minnesota boys, that is where it belongs!

A big part of coaching today is getting players to respect the coach and buy into what is being taught. Jacques had the respect, until the final year, but had a hard time dealing with younger players, Richards had neither. Hopefully Yeo can supply some of both and if this team works together they'll be better than they are on paper. Go Wild

I want to lace up the skates and play for Mike Yeo!! Although that would be about as effective as Martin Skoula on defense.

I think Yeo is the right coach for this team. It also seems the Wild has recognized the "uptempo, attack" style needs some balance and Yeo's been given more of a free hand in playing a balanced game. In all fairness to Richards, he was set up to fail... the condition of the team and the direction management dictated made that evident. JL said as much after he left and the "new" direction was announced. The Wild is a better team on paper than its been in several years. And Yeo is a more dynamic individual than TR and I think that is good for this team. I like our prospects this year and I like Yeo in the driver's seat. Looking for a good game tomorrow!

Good article and Yeo is the real deal. If the players don't respond this time they will be gone, which will be their choice. First line will be one of the best in the league but we will need a few guys to step it up by scoring and keeping a good plus/minus on 2nd line. The goaltending is a strength and the D will come around as there is talent there along with 2 very good coaches. Go Wild !!

Fletcher and Yeo have the same Sh-- Sandwich on their plate as Richards did, the difference now is that they're both committed and able to digest it. TR spent two years simply staring at it. This team is light years ahead of day one, 2011.
