Behind record games from Atlanta's Angel McCoughtry and the Lynx's Seimone Augustus, Game 2 of the WNBA Finals certainly didn't lack offense.

A Minnesota team coming from behind to win. What a breath of fresh air! Great game ladies. A true champion doesn't get down just because their behind. The Lynx showed that toughness tonight. It would be nice to win the series at home, but we'll take a sweep.

Seimone played her heart out. You just know she wants this. She told her mother that this "will be the first time she cries over basketball." I want those tears -- for the players, the coaches and fans like myself who have waited for 12 long years -- to be tears of joy. Lindsay also came through tonight when the chips were down, but two players who stepped up to make a difference and probably will get lost in the headlines were Jessica Adair and Amber Harris. They gave us critical minutes with critical play. While Jess's development has enabled her to split time as Taj's back-up, rookie Harris has not seen as many playing minutes. She came off the bench and made some plays that were important, showing why she was a top draft choice. Typical Lynx team: on any given night, any given player steps up: it's what sets apart champions.

@Rallen, I'm gonna be so happy for Seimone. Everyone on the Lynx, but especially Seimone! This is her sixth year with us. Her whole WNBA career is with the Lynx!

Pay incentives for exceptional performance should be how all athletes are compensated. Getting paid obscene amounts of money and not delivering is ridiculous.

Heal thy wound, Taj. Only one more win to go. You're a rock for the Lynx so I have all the confidence in the world you'll be back. Even with banged up players this team still finds ways to win. Oh and one more thing...Seimone Seimone Seimone Seimone Seimone!!!!!

@Rallen1225 Don't forget Candace Wiggins coming off the bench. The Lynx bench really takes the pressure off the starters and the coach. I think that's why this team never panics.

slmitchell: Can NEVER forget "Ice" (Candice). She's special. I consider her a starter because of the consistent fire she brings as "Sixth Man" when she's called early off the bench. Was commenting more about the loss of Taj (get well Mama!) and the two "bigs" who then were asked to step up a bit more in Taj's absence ... michaelton: Agree with you - I commented on Seimone in a different post (Whistlehappy Refs). "Money" has not only been through the mill with the team since her #1 draft, but she's fought through a serious knee injury to come back looking better. She absolutely deserves a ring and I have a feeling she won't be denied. BTW: her parents have been in the stands both games -- really nice show of parental support.
