The Wild are as good as Dallas and Anaheim. Does it mean they'll make the playoffs? No. But Minnesota will be a legitimate contender for that 8th spot.

I read in the USA Today they picked the Wild to finish dead last in the Western Conference, thats right folks 15th out of 15 teams. Now thats some locker room motivation for you. Go Wild!! Good luck this year!

The Wild will not make the playoffs this year. To expect that is to invite disappointment. Two years from now will be a deep run. Until then, we will experience a lot of growing pains.

Wild & Flordia In the Cup finals this season, flordia wins the cup in five. Wall Street gains 300 points every day, unemployment will hit 0%, gas at $1.50 gal, life is good. Dream, Dream, Dream.

Not sure if I'd trust that USA Today ranking...there's a reason that paper is called multi-colored fish wrap.

How would Washington(107 point prediction) finish second to Pittsburg(106 point prediction)?

I believe Mike was showing last years finish...not a prediction of this year's points. Only the order is what he is predicting. Russo is solid and here is another example. He covers the Wild, but doesn't do so to be 'rah-rah'. The Wild made some moves that have many of us excited, but he knows that they still probably won't finish in the playoffs. I think we have a good shot, but I really think our year to be a factor is next year. GO WILD!
