We're sooooo desperate for a sports winner around town here we're willing to jump on the Lynx bandwagon. Good luck ladies. Make the state proud. Bring home the....uhhhh...what sport do they play again?

Cute couple - do all Minnesotans have the same stylist?

I Don't know if i would call it bandwagon, i would call it smart people in minnesota just expect more from our sports teams.

They're bandwagon fans. They're a bunch of sheep that just follow the pack. They really know little about the actual sports they are following. They may be fans of the team, but they aren't fans of the sport. Big difference.

I've been a fan for years, and partial season-ticket holder for 4-5 years. Lindsay is right about the bandwagon town. It's sad. But please correct your story. Jesse Ventura is not a bandwagon fan, he has been there all year as a season ticket holder. And Governor Dayton is just one of us, he sits in the middle of the crowd. No courtside or box seats for him.

it seems that i need to figure out all this tiresome bandwagon b.s. . let's see. if? i enjoy pain and stay loyal to my tormentor?. then i am a real fan?. but ? ; if something is fun and exciting?; then i am a bandwagoneer!?. your ? choice ?. pain or pleasure.

So what if there are bandwagon fans? Should people not show up? Then Minnesotans would be ripped for not supporting a championship calibur team. Great to have it both ways is'nt it. Think Minnesota fans are bad? people might want to see how places like Boston or Philadelphia deal with underachieving teams and inferior products. Hint: It's not pretty

I love this team! At the start of the last game, I froze the picture of the starting 5 and the coach. I was watching with my girlfriend and I said, "honey, watch this. I bet I can name every player, plus the coach." and I did it, no problem. Rebeccah, Lindsey, Seimone, Maya, and Mama Taj along with Cheryl Reeve. See, I did it again! I'm a bigger fan than she is. Love this team and can't wait to see them play tomorrow. Go Lynx! Oh, and Candice Wiggins is cute.

Lindsay didn't mean "bandwagon" as an insult! When Reeve asked how to get more fans, Lindsay was telling her coach that to get crowds in Minnesota no matter what the sport, all you have to do is win. Lindsay is a Minnesota fan, and she's aware of the abyss this sports town has become. And if you don't know what sport they play, your comments are meaningless.

Let me clarify. I was'nt responding to Lindsay Whalens comments as much as I was responding to the posters that seem disgusted that more people are now following a winning team as if Minnesota was the only place that it happened. Props to the loyal 4,000 people before this year, but if today's "bandwagoner" becomes tommorrow's "real fan" that is'nt a bad thing.
