Hey leipold! You say this crap every year! Your gm is a joke! If you dont get a heavy weight fighter in here to protect these guys you wont have anyone filling these seats..One guy gets hurt on your so called top line and it is over! You cant have a team of non-physical players and expect to compete against teams like chicago, pens, caps, philly, ducks! The fans are not fooled anymore and its a shame we keep on going deeper in the hole.

@puckit - I'm glad that you are only a fan on this blog....way to not pay attention

@puckit what are you talking about? Why the hate for GM?

puckit, the article duly notes that wild fans are in "wait and see mode". Taking yout comment into consideration, suffice it to say that local sports fans (myself included) are starving for a competitive team to emerge from our bevy of local professional sports teams. The prospects of having a winning season and competing for a playoff spot this season is all I need. I will be tuned in for every game! This is NOT to be taken as a slam against the MN Lynx. But, come on! You know what I'm getting at!

The Wild just went through 2 years with a rookie head coach. Now they have the talent they want but will they follow another rookie coach. That is why I am in wait and see mode. Also one of many reasons why did not renew this season. A lot of money for a team that may not make the playoffs again.

Lackluster ticket sales were because most folks don't give a rip about pre-season games (I give mine away). Give it 5 weeks.

Why would the fans be apprehensive about the team of 14,000 ?? Are we all not able to be honest enough to answer the question ?? Honesty is a good place to start Leo, I think I could trust that DR and Lemaire were doing everything possible to win every game they could and if were being Honest here your team has not . Will a winning streak let you sell another 2000 season tickets getting you to team of 16,000 ? We will find out maybe. I use to like the Wild but I have not liked the changes since the new ownership reckon, even though I like to go the X to watch games I am turned off and now I like the Canadians, I can't believe we all can not be honest enough to answer the question of why the drop off, its not all about making the playoffs. Harding injured during a team building camp is another sign of bad decisions, now we have no back up gooalie

The Twin Cities are filled with teams with promise. The Vikes bring in the veteran McNabb, the Twins are already talking about next year when the M & M boys will be healthy, the Wolves hire Adelman, and the Gophs hire Kill. All the promise and good feelings mean zilch in this town (unless you are a Twins fan). Fans are starting to stay away in droves. It is about time.

What are you talking about bhrnew1l. DR was a complete idiot. He did nothing for the future and only thought of the here and now. Our farm system sucked. He let all the top players go for nothing. Fletcher has built this team to where it will compete for years and that is the key. It is about making the playoffs which means you are winning. This team should be fun when they get everyone healthy. We haven't had a top line like this ever. We have a really good checking line which will score points. It's to bad Harding hurt his ankle but he will be back soon and Hackett isn't a bad goalie either. The season hasn't even started and everyone is so negative. GO WILD!!!!

How can anyone hate Chuck Fletcher? I don't get it. The guy's pure class. You want to hate a GM, direct your venom at that obese, egocentric pig, Bill "Dumpster Diver" Smith. But Chuck Fletcher? The guy's nothing but class.
