Voter ID laws might affect millions, study finds

"Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Ill., who held a hearing on the new laws last month, said they "will make it harder for millions of disabled, young, minority, rural, elderly, homeless and low income Americans to vote." ---- Oh really? How do those people buy beer, cigarettes or cash a check?

In many states you have to show a photo I.D. to vote and the eligible voters have no problem with it.

It's funny - every time I talk to my Republican friends, they are for voter ID, but they always moan about showing their "papers" for anything else. You can't have it both ways!

I rented a dvd tonite and had to show my ID. Voting should require at least that! Its no big deal.

Most people that are citizens have an ID. You need one for most everything. And the state can help those who dont. Its no big deal!

When even the Republican controlled Supreme Courts says the can see no evidence of voter fraud that should send the signal this issue is just another Republican lie. Take out those 5 million voters and we are no longer a free democracy. But a puppet government of the rich with rigged elections.

Of course it will affect millions... You can't vote without it... Why is it such a controversy to prove who you are and have the right to cast a vote in your precinct???
