The Richfield Historical Society got $4,620 to catalog 7,500 black-and-white photos from 1955 to 1957 of nearly every home in the Minneapolis suburb. Pay me .50 a pic to catalog your house photos instead of the .61 apiece you received and we can apply the difference to the grant I would like to study my golf swing.

Good gravy - the specious projects as reported by the RedStar. If the ones that they aren't reporting on are equal to or worse than these - then the voting public fell for one huge scam. The problem with this sort of funding (the sort of projects that should be done on a volunteer unpaid basis as part of an internship or an opportunity to do something meaningful with retiree time) is that the doling out of public $ is even more greasy than what happens at the capitol. Citizens would be better off by removing this amendment in the next election cycle.

Legacy Funds - The biggest waste of money there ever was and continues to be. The voters were tricked into this one.

I could see part of the funds being used to set up a an annuity for to continue supporting environmental and arts funding after 1934. Is it actually required to spend every dollar acquired every year?

The voters, (especially the misinformed, uninformed, elderly, and clueless immigrants) voted for clean water...not another scam by special interest groups to steal from the public. This should have been repealed from day one! Why did the powers above put the "ARTS" at the end of the statement on the ballot?

So, the fund to preserve MN's cultural heritage is... preserving MN's cultural heritage? Outrageous.

If you want to do a history of homelessness, do a history of homelessness and find a publisher. If it's good, it'll sell. If it's not, we don't need it. How do we repeal this nonsense?

Minnesotans are stupid is as stupid does. All you had to know about the "clean water" legacy act was to inform yourself when it was introduced. It was simply a shell game disguised to get special interests money by having the people vote on it, rather than legislators. Ingenious. And we're stuck with the bill. Stupid.
