With all due respect top Chris Doleman. If Jim Marshall isn't in the Hall of Fame....Doleman shouldn't be either....in fact not many should.

He looks good! I wish we could suit him up this season and get 21 sacks. I predict a win against KC and a turnaround. We are in a tough division this year though and I don't see the playoffs. We are the best 0-3 team out there.

Congratulations, Chris -- it's easy to forget his era of Viking players because of their limited success on the field.

This "ring of fame" should be re-named the "Ring of futility!!! Doleman is just another brick in the Super Bowl-less / World Champioship purple wall. Like every viking player before and after him (and in the future) that has started and ended their career with the vikings it's a shame he never won a Super Bowl ring!!!

Chris is very deserving player unlike a certain LB named Scott Studwell who is still ruining the team today. He had more missed tackles than tackles because he never wrapped arms.

chrislottsf... With all due respect to Jim Marshall, you're wrong. I consider Marshall to be the personification of the Vikings' glory years, even moreso than Page or Eller, because of the kind of person and player he is/was, but he just didn't dominate the way Doleman could. Doleman has more sacks than all but two DEs in history, and 23 more sacks than Marshall despite playing 5 fewer seasons (38 fewer games). And claims that Doleman didn't bother to stop the run are unfounded, because he averaged just five fewer tackles per year than Reggie White (who played on the left side and, consequently, had more opportunities to tackle a ball carrier).

purplechoker - I love it when Packer fans show how much class they really have.

Congrats Doleman! You were awesome to watch come around the end for a sack/fumble all those years. To bad your name will go up in the Metrodump and all these whiners are going to mess up the stadium deal and everything will be lost.

@Ebuddy - Packers fan??? I do not see any reference to the packers in purplechoker's post. Must be your "purple Lombardi trophy envy" syndrome getting the best of you again. LOL!!!

I was at FASTSIGNS in Minnetonka the other day and saw them making the banner.
