With more protein and fat than the chicken variety, duck eggs are a baker's delight. So why aren't more farmers raising them?

As usual the news doesn't fully report the story. Where can we get the eggs? Go to www.ltdfarm.com. click "the farm products" and click "retail". It will show the locations in the twin cities.

what a wonderful story. coming from a farm i know all too well about the hard work and low income. one has to truely believe in and enjoy the labor.

Next will be Balut. A balut is a fertilized duck embryo that is boiled alive and eaten in the shell. Popularly believed to be an aphrodisiac and considered a high-protein, hearty snack, balut are mostly sold by street vendors in the regions where they are available and legal. Balut is commonly sold as streetfood in the Philippines. They are common, everyday food in Southeast Asian countries.

I used to sell this type of eggs on craigslist but only had a few customers. My wife used it to bake cakes! Duck's are to messy!

Those of you commenting on the lack of information on where to purchase LTD's duck eggs should look no further than the side bar to the article where it reads, "Where to Buy".

I love it! And I'm just to darned suspicious of eggs that aren't what I've eaten my whole life. Might just have to try a few of these in some of my Paleo dishes. "Creamy", huh? Hmm . . .
