McHale is going to a decent coach for the Rockets. As long as they don't let him near the front office, he'll be able to redeem himself. Adelman is the guy taking a bigger risk here. If he succeeds, he may have to share some of the credit with Kahn, but he will still be seen as a savior. But if he fails he could do permanent damage to his reputation.
