The squeaky wheel is supposed to get the grease and I will continue to provide the noise until they install Joe Webb in Berrians spot. Webb has the great speed, hands and strength that is needed in today's game. Someone needs to sit in from of Frazier and ask; "what are you waiting for coach?" Ponder has the QB skills that McNabb can only dream about and now is the time to give everyone a view of the Viking future!

Jenkins is a good possession receiver and McNabb trusts him on the shorter throws. We all know he could use some help on the other side but I really don't think the Vikes should be looking for free agent receivers that no one else wants. They should be combing practice squads trying to find a good young speed receiver and let him develop with Ponder. I also think Rudolf needs to be on the field more because he has already passed Shank is big play potential. AP, Harvin, and Rudolf are the guys playing with an attitude so they should be the targets.

flgopher... "Webb has the great speed, hands and strength that is needed in today's game." Oh come ON! I like Webb as much as the next guy, but he HASN'T CAUGHT A SINGLE PASS as a pro, not even in the preseason, so it's simply absurd to claim that he has great hands!

More importantly, I appreciate that the coaches are trying to find "creative ways" to get Harvin the ball, but he's clearly the team's best receiver, so why not just split him out wide 80% of the time and get more "creative" with Rudolph and Schianco?

No more McNabb!!!

webb played receiver was drafted as a receiver, but has not been given a chance at receiver. he can out run most cb's out jump most cb's and gives his all every down. he has tight end size with wide out speed and jump ability. why let him sit on the bench when berrian does nothing for us. put him in three games in place of berrian, and see who has the best production.

Wow, Jenkins sure has GREAT stats. The question that we must ask is: Did he get those catches in the first half of these games so far?

how about doing a story on robinson. he did more in one game than edwards did all last season. d line played great.

Like Gadfly, I don't know why we don't just try Harvin more at wideout with Jenkins on the other side. Bench (or cut) Berrian. Play more two TE sets with Jenkins and Harvin wide mixing some running and play-action (think more TE throws too which are quick and don't require as much O-line time) and I think we'd have more success. And if McNabb's accuracy doesn't improve just play Ponder; if there is a year to go 0-16 this is it with Luck coming out and before Allen, AP, Williams and other prime-time guys get too old.

Jenkins reminds me a lot of Chris Carter. Webb should be a wide out. Harvin? Who knows but when he thinks he can play again, a wide out would be a great place for him. It appears we have two great receivers at the tight end spots too. Spread the field, which the vikes have NOT done in their losses, and let Peterson have some room. Right now, nobody but nobody fears the vikings passing game. Safeties are up in run support, linebackers cover tight ends, and the respect given to Berrian, our number one receiver? Well, he is single covered every single time and is a non factor in the games.
