Something tells me when the season ticket renewal numbers are officially turned in, and the empty greens start migrating in from the outfield, THEN he might pay attention.

Furthermore, with respect to Bill Smith, it's not as if this is Smith's first year on the job and there is a need for the wait and see approach. Since taking over Ryan, Smith has had terrible drafts, traded prospects for overpaid-marginal vets, and traded AWAY players in their prime in which THE COACHING STAFF couldn't get anything out of. Reading Pohlads comments just make me angrier, and angrier. GET A CLUE!

"We are not a knee-jerk organization," Pohald said." So years of constantly being swept out of the playoffs in the first round and now having a total crap year with one of the worst records in baseball... what is it going to take to "jerk that knee"? lol. Like the above poster said, maybe season tickets sales plummeting? Near empty stadium during games? Tell us Mr. Pohlad what will it take?

Give me a break does Mr. Pohlad think that we the ticket buyers should be given no respect. Billy Smith is by far the worse General Manager in all of baseball. His trades and drafting have destroyed what we fans know as "Twins Baseball". WHy can't ownership just admit the Smith is over his head as a GM. If everyone feels nice an safe then no changes will come about and eventually the fans will leave. Then Mr. Pohlad you only have yourself to blame. Shame on you for not respecting the fans.

The Twins won't win until they pull the fences in. Especially, that right field abomination.

The only thing the Pohlad family understands is their love for the almighty dollar.

Hey Pohlad: Stop being so disgustingly complacent and accepting mediocrity out of your executives. Truly, where is the accountability? You can some lower level guys but allow the same guys to run your business into the ground. If they wouldn't have made bad trades and draft picks and sent all-star players packing, quite possibly your payroll wouldn't be where it is. Nishioka - need I say more?

Mr. Pohlad, when was the last time this team went to the World Series? Sure, plenty of playoff appearances, but your manager could never get this team to the next level, lack of talent or something else? Let's hope the fans don't suffer "knee jerk reactions" and not buy tickets next year, leaving that nice new ballpark not so full..

Who is Pohlad trying to fool......the money he will be saving from cutting and trading players is definitely going back into his pocket. The only truthful thing he said was that this year's payroll was more than they wanted it to be.......and he can thank Joe Mauer for that but yet it will be the Nathans, Cuddeyer's etc. that will suffer the consequences of Mr. Sniffles contract.
