No. If you want to kill time between planes, you take the train to MOA. Shopping, people watching, and a ridiculously inexpensive meal at IKEA.
A tornado would not travel from the rail corridor to Lake of the Isles, but I get your point.
I'd take a short tour of a local attraction. On a voluntary layover many years ago, I was heading down Snelling Ave. and heard a radio announcement of Svenskarnasdag in Minnehaha Park. I had the best Swedish meatball lunch this side of a Lutheran church basement. I'd take a tour of Manning's or Kramarczuk's. At least get a walleye dinner and a Grainbelt.
