Not your father's Lions

Seemingly forever the Vikings' pets, the Motor City Kitties are all grown up. They've sharpened their claws, restored the roar and leapt out to an impressive 2-0 start. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Pleeeeeeaaassssssee beat the Vikings. The worse their record this year, the harder it will be to drum up support for the overpriced staduim Billionaire Ziggy is crying for. The Twinkies got their overpriced stadium, which was absolutely necessary for them to compete in the Majors, they got their palace, and are on track to blow over 100 games this season. Go Twins, Go Vikes! Turn the lighs out and close the door on your way to LA.

Division games can always be wild to call no matter the records ... Have to believe the teams are 180-ing each other thugh .... Long shot for the purple to nail a "W"

eesix1Sep. 24, 11 8:44 PM The lions are still the Lions- Vikes 34, Lions 17>>>>>>>>>>>>is that based on your 86.7% winning formula that you used to guarantee that the Gophers would "win handily" against North Dakota?

Once and for all: The Vikes ain't moving to L.A. The stadium builders there are insisting on owning a huge chunk of any team that moves in. Zygi doesn't want to lose control of his team, and who can blame him? Best scenario: The vikes and the economy stink so bad that Zygi gives up, sells the team to local ownership. That's one reason we shouldn't buy him a stadium. Sooner or later he'll go away, and then maybe some local group who really cares about MN football will buy the team.

They beat a not-as-good-as-advertised Tampa team and a really lousy KC team without their best running back most of the game. I am not saying they won't beat the Vikings, but it is way too early for this team to be crowned anything but average.

I'll have a good laugh if the Vikings still end up smacking them around. Probably won't happen but it'd be funny.

Vorenus - the Gophers lost to North Dakota State, not North Dakota. Even the Gophs could beat that atrocious school that thinks D-I hockey is the only sport. Lucky for them, the Gophs don't play teams with Indian names outside their conference.
