Apologies are only a manipulation to make enablers continue to make continue to have access to alcohol to which he is addicted. He didn't make a stupid mistake, alcohol did. The steps include making amends. That is step 9 to recovery. Start with Step One and go down the list. He needs to have the Vikings Ownership give him a choice of being a Viking and going through recovery or being cut. It is the only way to save his future from being a looser like all of the so called loving people who think he just made a mistake. He was powerless over alcohol and that addiction threatens his entire career and life. Let us show our real concern for HIS life and not just his immediate need by the team.

remember. This does not mean he is an alcoholic. It means he made a mistake. Most alcoholics wouldn't admit what they did. The fact that he acknowledges it is something. I don't know if he has some history but he knows enough to admit his wrongs. Not always at the top of athletes things to do list. This lesson could keep him from a fatal accident in his future.
