Ok troops, here's your orders, direct from David and Charles koch: Jump all over this article right away, with all the terms from the official Big Oil playbook. "We can't afford it." "Only 'thugs' ride trains." "You don't use it, so you won't pay for it." "We're broke," and "It's a 'boondoggle.'" If anybody starts talking about taxpayers money spent on roads, wars in the Middle East, or tax cuts for us important people, shut them down and call them "libs." Keep posting; your check is in the mail.

Sutton would rather pad the pockets of his rich friends and see the rest of working at Wal-Mart at a lower minimum wage and no benefits... that's his idea when he says reduce regulation.

To expensive and should not be subsidized .If can not stand on own with ridership paying bills then should not be built. To force those that do not ride to pay for this boondoggle through taxes is UNAMERICAN but left does not care about America.

News for Tony Sutton...All construction jobs are "temporary", in that each day, you show up, do your job, and in the process, work yourself out of a job.

@exrepublican I see you're out playing your one and only note again. But I just happened to notice something. You always seem to be one of the first people to comment on stories like this, and your posts almost always sound nearly identical. Quite a coincidence. In fact, it leads me to wonder....who is mailing you a check?

I'm not good at math...can someone tell me how much per mile this is costing? In my opinion they should have either put this above ground or below ground. Seems to me that once again they were very short-sighted on this project.

I read or saw someplace that the merchants along the Central Corridor tended to disagree with the comments of our Transportation Chief. It won't be too long until motorists trying to cross University Ave here in St. Paul will be suffering the same ennui of our Mpls neighbors on Hiawatha Blvd. At least they just paved over most of the rails when they burned the streetcars years ago. Such pricey modernities.
