We are still moving forward with a stadium for those clowns who took the field in the 2nd half of the MN SD game? We are considering putting 100s of millions of dollars into a stadium who QB says he does not care about his stats-does not care how he plays? If he does not care about he plays, why should he care where he plays-i.e. a new stadium or the metro-dome? Judging from the way the Vikings "played" on Sunday-they can keep fouling up & stinking up the old dome. Until they clean up their act a new stadium is out of the question. Put together a team before you ask for a place to play Wilf.

IN the long haul, seriously, what's another 90 million for the Vikes to anti up. If they develop this like I think they will (after all, that's the Wilfs' business) they are going to make a fortune in return. ALthough personally I prefer a downtown site near the Twins, the AH plan allows for unlimited space/growth, and development which the Wilfs could control as they wished. In a downtown site that's not possible. So, I think for this reason they'll front the money when push comes to shove, and it's why they are so high on AH as opposed to another site.

Say it isn't so! Another thing government is involved in that had a cost overrun? That won't pay for itself, that will enrich those closest to the electorate? OMG, I am SO stupid! If it would cost what they thought, and would generate so much revenue, why wouldn't they build it themselves? Wow! No brainer!

Isn't it amazing that work will begin on the 694 area right where a proposed stadium will be? Me thinks there has been some back room deal making that will end up screwing the public that thinks that corporate welfare should be a "NO GO" during a time of high taxes and low employment.

Seriously people, look at that picture of the proposed Vikings stadium. It's just a place to watch a freaking football game!!!! This is not the residence of a head of state! It's not a memorial! It's not a monument! It's a stadium! Why does it need to cost over a billion dollars? Stop thinking with your emotions!

ANYONE WHO IS SO SHORT-SIGHTED TO MAKE A DECISION ABOUT A NEW STADIUM BASED ON THE CURRENT VIKINGS TEAM IS A COMPLETE MORON! I respect those who don't think it should be publically funded much more than those making it about the current team. Grow up!

Get it done zygi, whatever it takes....DON'T lose the vikings to L.A. or any other state!! I'ts already bad enough that we lost the lakers and north stars....KEEP THE VIKINGS IN MINNESOTA, IT'S THEIR HOME!! SKOL VIKINGS!!

Whatever happened to that revolutionary idea: "No taxation without representation."?

flogicSep. 14, 1111:37 PM

Special session? Really, so they just keep pushing more for these wealthy pigs, but won't eliminate their tax write offs for their toys to start a job program. Plutoracy at it's finest, with these greedy, arrogant, politician slobs. They don't care who gave them to votes to win, they just care who gave them the money to run! They'll cover the cost overruns, oh BOO FLIPPING WHOO!

bl24601 -- I have read some dumb things on this site to complain about building the Vikes a new stadium but this one takes the cake. "Whatever happened to that revolutionary idea: "No taxation without representation."?" Just what exactly do you think you do each time you hopefully vote? You vote for your representation in each council, legislature and executive branch of office(mayor, governor,President). No one voted to increase the cigarette tax when it happened. It was based by the PEOPLES representatives in government. So get a better arguement on not building the stadium. There are plenty but there are plenty reasons to do so as well.
