What choice did Kahn have other than to wait on Rick Adelman? Glen Taylor is the one who landed Adelman, not Kahn.

Where did you get that information from?

northstars91Sep. 15, 11 1:50 AM

Sorry, all the credit goes to Kahn on this one whether you like it or not.

fwallenSep. 15, 11 5:35 AM

Sid, I love you but this is spin that you should be able to see. Adelman got a big salary plus he will not be taking orders from Kahn. He will have a relationship with Taylor and no personnel decisions will be made without his concurrence. Watch in the next 30days and I'll bet there is a new ast GM named and he will be Adelman's guy. I can almost guarantee it. Kahn will likely be history within 18 months.

WOW - a guarantee from an anonymous web poster. That's worth a lot!

Kahn is a lame duck GM. He'll be gone after his contract expires.

swaybachSep. 15, 11 7:57 AM

I sure hope fwallen is correct but, I can't see Taylor paying two people for not working. I can not see Kahn as much of a factor and will not have his contract renewed. He is not liked by the fans, the press or the players.

phairwethrfnSep. 15, 11 8:13 AM

WOW! So many people hating on Kahn. He's doing a good job. Much better than McHale ever did. Kahn will not be gone. This train is just getting on the track now that Rambis is gone and the star player is happy with the coaching selection. Credit has to be given to Kahn and Taylor. After the last few seasons I kind of got the feeling Taylor didn't care anymore. Signing Adelman proves that is not the case.

phairwethrfnSep. 15, 11 8:17 AM

"He is not liked by the fans, the press or the players."--Yeah that's because he's smart and doesn't try and explain himself to people that are stupid.

BMartinSep. 15, 11 8:44 AM

Of course Adelman doesn't like Kahn... who does? Kahn is an egotistic dolt who is in way over his head. Listen to the Kahn man speak for 5 minutes (if you can stomach it) and it's impossible to like the guy.
