Impressive moments in the first three quarters were overshadowed by physical and mental lapses late in the second half in a loss to San Diego

I liked the aggresive defense but the coverage needs to be mixed up more. It looked like the same passes worked all fourth quarter and adjustments were never made.

Spot on Norton11-If the D-could get in position to contest passes as they arrive or hit the receiver immediately knocking the ball loose no more could be asked for by the D. Good solid run stopping, but for the love of God, how many times did fans see a RB/TE settle down, turn to Rivers catch the pass, tuck it away, turn up-field all before the LB took a step towards the RB/TE? How many times do the Vikings need to be gashed before the D-Coordinator get his LBs rolling out with the RB/TE if they are throwing to them every other play? Make adjustments keep the O off their game & this D-has the personnel to put up great numbers in both the line & secondary.

I think D will be ok because they have Allen, EJ Greenway and Winfield that play hard and lead by example. But our defensive playmakers are no spring chicken's anymore so lets try not keep them on the field for 40 min. Hey coach Musgrave, why don't you be the D's 12 man this week and keep them off the field. I am also starting to wonder if the nickel shouldn't be our base defense because Winfield is a stud in the slot and seems to make a lot big plays there.

The defense was on the field for 22 of the 30 minutes in the 2nd half. They weren't that bad. The O needs to give them a break.

I was at the game last Sunday, it was like eating a great tasting meal, then right in the middle of your meal someone grabs your plate and throws it away. Then you just walk away without saying a single word, that's how I felt after the Vikes fell asleep in the 2nd half. So good at 1st then it was gone!!!!!! Disgusting!!!!!

Bring back Benny Sapp, he's available now.

This is BS to blame the defence when they were on the field for 22 minutes in the second half. The offence needs to get some first downs. The offence is to blame, turning the ball over on the 5 yard line, only scoring 10 points is not gonig to win ball games.

As the announcers said of the D line, watch the ball. The game is not always that tough!

vikesbratSep. 14, 11 7:17 AM

The D did a good job. They gave the offense back the ball right away in the game only to have the O give it right back at there own 6 yard line. Allen's interception should have given a boost to the O but they shot themselves in the foot again. I think Robinson played well in his first start and if I recall correctly his hitting the arm of Rivers resulted in an interception. Hopefully the O can get something going and keep the D off of the field. Skol Vikes!

Jared Allen should dye his hair blonde so he would look just like the viking on the logo, he also needs to drop the rope the steer thing after a sack, your a viking now Jared draw your invisable broad sword do a head lopping swing and return it to its imaginary scabbard. The crowd would go wild!
