I like the guy but wonder how many of these he can endure at this level. Gopher football is doomed--let's face it

Mr. Miller, your reporting on the Gophers is really good. Your stories and topics match what many of us fans are interested in.

Coach Kill has proven in the past that he has a talent as a coach to make the Gopher team better. His condition is shared with millions of other people who lead normal lives. In no way, form or fashion should his condition prevent or bar or restrict him from continuing as coach of our Gophers. As long as he wants to coach our Gophers he has my encouragement and total support to take over when he so desires. Good luck coach Kill and may thousands of other Gopher fans share my love and support for a truly good coach and dedicated person. .

This is not an unmanageable situation. It was refreshing to see Dr. Pat Smith acknowledge that the staff did a poor job of managing Coach Kill's known situation. As a non Badger, non Hawkeye fan it is important for me to not see this as "total end of the world" when it was nothing more than a poor job by everyone (including Coach Kill) in managing a very manageable, minor medical condition.

And the point of this article? To make public a man's medical record? Even if each report was is accurate and was made public at the time with permission of Coach Kill, it is inappropriate. I have never seen a detailed, descriptive list in cronological order, such as this for a President, a Govener, a University President. He is a prominent athletic coach, but also a University of Minnesota employee. Most people over 50 could have quite a list- is the how we want to be treated? He has every quaility we want in a coach; integrity, drive, expertize, leadership, cares about his student athlete's education and character. He has made our University better for being here. He desearves to be treated with dignity and respect. Not useless tabloid journalism.

Do we want the medical history on our newspaper reporters so see if they are in anyway affected by the list of medical conditions they have? Misuse of power and disrespect toward good people makes me angry. Coach Kill you rock and thousands of people are so grateful you are here. Can't wait for Saturday!!! Party on!!!
