In this prehistoric offense, passing seems to be extinct

I have real doubts about Leslie Frazier's decision making as an NFL head coach judging by his selection as Bill Musgrave as the offensive co-ordinator and sticking with and praising(!) Bernard Berrian during the pre-season. Also, it now appears that jettisoning Bryant McKinnie for showing up heavy was an over-reaction given his stellar play for the Ravens today. After one game into the new season it seems to me that it should have been Berrian who should have been cut and McKinnie who should have stuck around. These are not signs that point to a positive future for the Vikings and their fans under the still fledgling Frazier regime.

I believe that the Vikings' receivers are about as effective as the Twins offense. Hard to hit a pass when no one can get open. Also seemed like McNabb was lucky he didn't get killed when he tried to pass. Pass protection wasn't there, either. Gonna be a long season, I'm afraid.

Who was calling these plays, Childress? At least there were no throw to the fullback or TE on a two yard out pattern on 3rd-and-8.

You have to wonder if both the Twins and the Vikes are going to end up with the #2 draft pick next year in their respective leagues. Twins are almost there and after watching DM and the stupefying offense today, the Vikes could be in serious trouble.

It wasn't as much that they lost, but the way they lost. Inept offense. It seems this team can never get all the required components together or play the type of physical, tough, high emotion football seen in other clubs. This game was what the Viking fans were looking to all off-season. Now they have nothing but to fear for the worse and wait another year.

And hate to say it, but knowing the Wilf's, McNabb and Frazier are on the hot seat. Would not have said this with a more solid performance across the board.

I'm tired of our offense being designed around Adrian Peterson. HE'S A RUNNING BACK!! He's going to get 20+ carries a game no matter what and the 28 on his jersey will bring 8-9 men in the box! Let's focus on the pass game and let AP get his, we don't need to design the offense around him and run every single play. Even with how much the Packers pass, Starks and Grant ran a comined 21 times...AP will get his carries, let's starting building it around the pass already. Harvin, Jenkins, Berrian, Shiancoe and Rudolph = a pretty good passing attack.

They've built the whole offense and franchise around Peterson, who apparently no one has actually watched carefully in the last few years. He puts up decent numbers. But, it's 1 yard, 2 yards, -3 yards, 48 yards, 2 yards, 8 yards, 15 here and there. He's a good RB. That's all. He's not dominant, and he's not a franchise. Hopefully adjustments will be made and the passing game will come around. Favre thought things would be easy having Peterson on board and then he realized he had to carry the team.

I'm sick about this season already, and they've played only one game. Favre looked better on his worst day.

If Webb wouldn't have looked so lost on his play, I bet they would have left him in. If McNabb could gain yards running, think what Webb could have done.
