In the Military it is not called hazing, it is called discipline!! If he fell asleep on a guard post in Afghanistan, his non-commisioned officers disciplined him, which he rightfully deserved. We as Soldiers, Marines, Airmen, and Seamen depend and trust these guards to protect us while we are sleeping, eating or working on a day to day basis. Just a thought from.

What does the military need to do to stop the epidemic of military suicides? Everything possible. When this country decided to go to war it also made a commitment to its service members to do everything it can for those effected by the fighting of these wars. That includes mental and physical care for as long as it takes. This is a non-negotiable agreement that all Americans made when they sent these young people to war.

I think it would help if liberals would get out of the way and let us bring these wars to decisive victories instead of allowing the enemy to dictate how we treat them, resulting in the "endless wars" they love to hate. War is ugly, make it short.

I don't think any comments on this kind of story need to be make a political attack on any one ideology. This is not a problem of the left or a problem on the right. This is a problem of the American people as a whole. In the end we have to remember that is what we are. Not two separate peoples forced to live together but Americans one and all. We as a whole have to do everything we can to ensure that our veterans are getting the treatment they need and have earned.

Solution: Stop being the idiotic "World's Police Force," wasting trillions of dollars, bring our troops home, cut the military in half and use most of the remaining half to protect and patrol our own borders.
