Minneapolis garden helps sow community

Neighbors join forces to revive a blighted urban lot and transform it into a community garden, where produce is free for the taking.

Fresh fruits and vegetables: they're the best. Kudos to this community for banding together on this project.

Just think what a boost the image of the USA would get if we adopted a similar cooperative Food for Peace program around the world, planting seeds and ideas, not bombs and mines....

Love this story. Its amazing how much one community can come together over something so simple. Hopefully the government does not decide that they need to get a hand on this or the USDA and they leave it! I am inspired to research over the fall and winter and find an area in my little town to make the same attempt. Its amazing, it gives people something amazing in common that probably never would have ever spoken!!!! KUDOS
