Craig: A closer look at Saturday's game

Charlie Johnson deserves an apology, tackling is a strength, play-action appears to be a powerful weapon, and a mistake is also a teaching tool.

Whether you look closely, from afar or through the the most delusional homer's "purple glasses" this club will finish the season no better than 6-10!!! ANY arguement to the contrary would would only come out of Winter Park in an effort to dupe the public into buying tickets and or dupe potential and current advertisers that their money is being well spent with the purple.

If the offensive line gels AP can win the MVP award. He's in his prime & this offense is committed to getting the ball in the hands of its best player. With 2 tight ends & smash mouth, power football along with significantly reduction in turnovers this team may exceed expectations. Go SKOL!

Am enjoying what this staff and team is doing, which is getting better, will be a fun season with some highlights just like every season. And as always I will enjoy it win or lose.

Lets hope for a winning season and a playoff birth. Hard to predict but it sure would be nice to see the team back to a contender this season. The tools are there. The defense is going to be very stout and the Vikes will lead the league in rushing. That is usually a playoff team formula.

Good article. I was actually more encouraged by what I saw in this week's loss than I was in the win over Seattle. As for the final stats of the season, truth is nobody knows. Anything can happen, and injuries can turn everything upside down. See: Peyton Manning. Skol!

Nobody is calling this team "playoff ready". But, on a year when nobody knew what to expect, the team is looking better than most anticipated. Whether it be 6-10; 7-9; or 8-8; it looks like we will see some good football at times this year.

Always said you would work out just fine CJ..I don't owe you an apology....Vikes still could use "a little more Love" along the O-line though...And it looks like D Love over 300 lbs and with some quick feet can help out there also...Keep up the good work D Love...GO VIKES !!!

One thing is clear from Pre-season, the Vikings are going to surprise many teams. The Packers are over-confident, a team that got hot late after barely making the playoffs and not even winning the division. They just aren't that good. This is a very winnable division and the Vikings, one season removed from NFC Championship game still are loaded with talent. Minus Chilly and his inept offense, this team will surprise. Go Vikes!

Why are we not hearing about the Vikings trying to get Adrian Peterson signed? What is the status. I surely hope they don't screw this one up.
