Sounds like she'd be a great coach when she hangs it up.

A great role model, no matter her sex or ethnicity.

All you disappointed Twins, Vikings, Gophers, Wild, and Wolves fans should watch a real winner, a team of class athletes who value their fans, who work hard, and aren't getting paid ungodly sums of money to do so. They are fun to watch! Go Lynx. Go Mama Taj!

By the way her winning shot against San Antonio is my favorite highlight of the year, for the sheer joy she showed when after the shot she became a 20-year old kid again. And when the players hugged her she was so happy. Fun to watch.

Taj is a truly remarkable basketball player. I did not realize how good, talented and experienced she is until I had the chance to see her play for the Lynx this season. I would argue that the success of the Lynx team this season is largely because of the play of Taj McWilliams-Franklin. I think her defensive play and other efforts (such as setting screens, running plays, and mentoring the younger players) have had a major influence on the success of the other Lynx players allowing them to more easily shoot, pass and perform/excel at a very high level without getting smothered or thwarted by opponents. The Lynx made the playoffs this season because they signed Taj to play for the team this season.

Am I the only one who thinks she has an uncanny resemblance to Michele Obama?

Way to go Mama Taj! What a great example your whole life is for today's somewhat spoiled star athletes, they can learn a ton from you about what life is really about. Keep it up as long as you feel like keeping it up!!! Then be a coach!
