It is an embarassing time to be a Minnesota sports fan. I dont even know what to say about the Twins. I really think it is time for a change at manager. Gardy was good but he cant get us over the hump. We need a hard nosed manager that will get these guys to play when they have headaches, sore wrists, bruised legs, and bi-lateral leg weakness. Time for a change as they are an embarassment to all season ticket holders!!

Um, Adelman didn't get fired, Sid. His contract ran out and they parted ways. There's a difference.

Enough with the fences being to far. All the other teams that play the Twins have no problem hitting absolute bombs at Target Field. Maybe it's the Twins pitching which obviously helps. Also, if they move the fences in the fences are going to be in for both teams. They can't move them back for the top half of the inning and have them in for the bottom half. Thus even more homers for the visiting team so the HR differential is going to stay the same. Quit all the excuses the Twins are just terrible, it's really that simple. Have fun watching the real teams play in October Twins Fans.

I think Brett Favre would make an excellent middle reliever

How long before Sid starts whining that the only way the Twins are going to start winning games is if we build another new stadium, this time to the custom-built specs as designed by the M&M boyz? I give it another losing season, then the stadium will be "too old" to support a winning team and will HAVE to be replaced or the Twinkies will never have a chance against the big market teams. Professional sports: a bottomless money pit. Sid Hartman's mind: priceless.

Mr. Mauer and Mr. Gardy, what we want to have happen and what actually needs to happen are often two different things.

If A-Rod and Pujols were Catchers who were always banged up.. how long would you think it would take for them to be moved to a different position?..Its almost as if Smith/Gardy/Mauer are afraid he acutally wouldn't hit better if he was moved to third for example. It goes beyond being stubborn. Contrary to what Smith/Gardy/Mauer keep repeating.. Joe didnt "sign to be a catcher"!! He signed for 23 mil to be a premier hitter and a Ball Player. If Joe refuses to move and this top down thinking continues after years and years of repeated time off for rehab, then its time for a fresh start. First relieve Smith and Gardy of their duties.. Then Trade Joe. This fan is tired of hearing Joe and company say..yes ,catching is affecting my(his) hitting but I signed to be a catcher. Did any one ever hear, "If it aint working, cut it out?? "

It's come down to this, the twins need their "players" to have outstanding offseasons?
